Welcome to McHenry Cavaliers!

McHenry Cavaliers is a small hobby breeder located in McHenry, Illinois. We have only one litter a year. Terra is our beautiful AKC Tri Colored Cavalier. She is Champion Sired by the handsome CH. Sheeba Super Trooper. Both her Dam and her Sire are OFA Heart Certified and Cerf Eye Certified. Terra is Cerf Eye certified Normal on February 2009 and again on September 26, 2010. Terra received OFA Heart Certification, Normal, for a second time in September 2010. Both exams done by specialists in their field, Cardiologist for heart and Ophthalmologist for eye. Terra is OFA GOOD for Hips and OFA Normal for Patella's, both exams done in October of 2010. Terra is our family pet first and foremost!  We have one other cavalier, Daphne. Daphne and Terra are best buddies and play nonstop. Both our dogs are spoiled and loved on daily by my two kids, husband, and myself.

Terra is in heat now, March of 2012, however, we have decided not to breed her at this time. I want to give her a bit more rest before she has another litter. Usually its one heat on, one heat off...meaning we breed her and then rest her the next heat. This will be her second heat in a row that we have not bred her. Her next heat will be approximately 6 months. We may breed her then. We have kept a female from her litter last year, a blenheim named Bella. Bella will be bred after she is two years old. Hopefully next year sometime. So, we may have a litter in the fall and maybe one next summer or fall. Check back for updates.
